Volunteer Opportunities
Check this page frequently to find out where volunteers are needed and what kind of tasks need to be accomplished. The information here will inform you of upcoming events and every day opportunities where volunteer help is needed. At the bottom of the page is a Volunteer signup/registration document that can be opened, viewed, printed, or downloaded to your computer. Fill out the volunteer form and mail it to Vets Helping Vets HQ, 237 SW 3rd Ave, Albany, OR 97321 or bring in to the Vets Helping Vets HQ Bunker at 237 SW 3rd Ave in Albany. VHVHQ Office Assistants
Answer phone calls coming into the office and take messages and insuring that messages are received by the appropriate VHVHQ staff member. Learn how to do an intake of a veteran or a veterans family member who are seeking assistance from Vets Helping Vets HQ to gather information needed from the veteran to assist the veteran and to schedule an appointment for the veteran to see a VHVHQ veteran advocate.
The Bunker is located at 237 SW Third Ave and is open Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Call us at 541-791-4357 or sign up this volunteer opportunity on the "Volunteer Registration" page if you would like to volunteer as a VHVHQ Office Assistant.
Veterans Advocates
If you are interested in volunteering to become advocate for veterans, you've come to the right place. VHVHQ holds training classes to educate advocates on how to determine claim eligibility and to assist veterans or veteran family members in a preparing fully developed claims for those who wish to file claims with the VA through a Veteran Service Officer. Volunteer Form
Become a registered full time or part time volunteer by completing the volunteer registration form. Click the button at the right to open the form in your browser. You will be able to print the form from the browser or download it to your computer, fill it out and either mail it in or bring it in to the Bunker located at 237 SW 3rd Ave, Albany, Oregon. You can also fax it to 541-704-0732. The Bunker is open 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday thru Thursday.
