Check this page frequently to find out where volunteers are needed and what kind of tasks need to be accomplished. The information here will inform you of upcoming events and every day opportunities where volunteer help is needed. At the bottom of the page is a Volunteer signup/registration document that can be opened, viewed, printed, or downloaded to your computer. Fill out the volunteer form and mail it to VHVHQ, 1215 Pacific Blvd, Albany, OR 97321 or bring in to the Vets Helping Vets HQ Bunker at the American Legion Post 10. You can also call the Bunker at 541-791-4357 or send an email to email@example.com for information concerning volunteer opportunities.
Become a Veterans Advocate
If you are interested in becoming a VHVHQ Veteran Advocate you are in luck. VHVHQ holds training classes to educate advocates on how to determine claim eligibility and to prepare fully developed claims for veterans who wish to file claims with the VA for compensation. To sign up and find out when the next set of classes will start contact Pat Bailey or Bernie Pasqualini at Vets Helping Vet HQ, firstname.lastname@example.org, or 541-791-43457.
Volunteer Information Database
VHVHQ is looking for a volunteer that can create a database from our old volunteers forms. To go through the forms and make contact with people to update their information and to see if they still want to be registered volunteers. The database will need names, contact phone and email, skills, and available time. Database can be either MS Excel or MS Access.
Yard Work, Furniture Moving, Construction Help
Occasionally we have disabled veterans that need help with lawn care or repairs to their place of dwelling. When furniture or equipment is donated we need some muscle power to help us pick it up and put it into storage until the items are needed. If you can do any of these things on a part time basis please fill out a Volunteer Registration Form or contact the Bunker by email or phone. Thanks!
